My goal is to raise $10,000 for The Smile Train. This is the cost of the surgery for 1 child in the US. But, with The Smile Train, the cost of 1 procedure for 1 child is a little as $250. With $10,000 The Smile Train could provide smiles for at least 40 children!
The best part of this fundraising program is that 100% of the money we raise will go to patient programs that The Smile Train. Any costs I incur for training, races, postage, paper, gas - anything I spend money on will come out of my own pocket. This is to ensure that every penny you give helps those who need it the most... the children.
However, my pie-in-the-sky dream would be to raise enough money to provide 1 smile for every 140.6 miles in the race. That comes to $35,050! We'll see how close we get!
Fundraising Levels
Would you like to donate but don't know how much you should give? Of course, anything you can give is so greatly appreciated. Since every dollar goes to help a child in need, every dollar counts! Here are my suggested donor levels:
- Smile Multiplier - $500+ - you just helped a family become happy again!
- Super Smiler - $250.00 - you made one child have a beautiful smile!
- Mega Ironman - $210.50 - $1.50 per mile in the race
- Virtual Ironman - $140.60 - $1 per mile in an Ironman race
- Relay Rider - $112.00 - $1 per mile in the bike portion of the race
- Half Ironman - $70.30 - $0.50 per mile in the run portion of the race
- Cyclist - $56.00 - $0.50 per mile on the bike ride
- Marathoner - $26.20 - $1 per mile in the run
